1 7,1| DECREE ON JUSTIFICATION ~Proem. ~Whereas there is, 2 7,1| doctrine disseminated touching Justification; the sacred and holy, oecumenical 3 7,1| doctrine touching the said Justification; which (doctrine) the sun 4 7,1| understanding of the doctrine of Justification, it is necessary ./. that 5 7,1| description is introduced of the Justification of the impious, and of the 6 7,1| words, a description of the Justification of the impious is indicated,- 7 7,1| adults, of preparation for Justification, and whence it proceeds. ~ 8 7,1| the beginning of the said Justification is to be derived from the 9 7,1| themselves to their own justification, by freely assenting to 10 7,1| CHAPTER VII. ~What the justification of the impious is, and what 11 7,1| preparation, is followed by Justification itself, which is not remission 12 7,1| life everlasting. ~Of this Justification the causes are these: the 13 7,1| wherewith he loved us, merited Justification for us by His most holy 14 7,1| is this done in the said justification of the impious, when by 15 7,1| ingrafted, receives, in the said justification, together with the remission 16 7,1| foundation, and the root of all Justification; without which it is impossible 17 7,1| works-merit the grace itself of justification. For, if it be a grace, 18 7,1| and that absolution and justification are effected by this faith 19 7,1| CHAPTER X. ~On the increase of Justification received. ~Having, therefore, 20 7,1| only. And this increase of justification holy Church begs, when she 21 7,1| from the received grace of Justification, they may be again justified, 22 7,1| lost: for this manner of Justification is of the fallen the reparation: 23 7,1| that the received grace of Justification is lost, not only by infidelity 24 7,1| CHAPTER XVI. ~On the fruit of Justification, that is, on the merit of 25 7,1| this Catholic doctrine on Justification, which whoso receiveth not 26 7,1| what to avoid and shun. ~ON JUSTIFICATION ~CANON I.-If any one saith, 27 7,1| so as that the grace of Justification may be bestowed upon him; 28 7,1| for obtaining the grace of Justification; that it cannot refuse its 29 7,1| that all works done before Justification, in whatsoever way they 30 7,1| the obtaining the grace of Justification, and that it is not in any 31 7,1| faith alone, absolution and justification are effected; let him be 32 7,1| saith, that the grace of Justification is only attained to by those 33 7,1| the fruits and signs of Justification obtained, but not a cause 34 7,1| that, after the grace of Justification has been received, to every 35 7,1| Catholic doctrine touching Justification, by this holy Synod inset 36 8,1| the salutary doctrine on Justification, which was promulgated with 37 8,1| faith alone, the grace of justification;-though all (the sacraments) 38 15,1| in the decree concerning Justification, there has been, through 39 15,1| penance, conduct the sinner to justification, yet does it dispose him
