2. Bishops and consecrated persons, witnesses and servants of hope

            Being witnesses and servants of the hope that does not disappoint (cf. Rom 5:5), demands the courage of an exceptional Christian life. It means living in hope, being very critical of what dehumanises hope and entering into a process of solidarity to the end.

Rereading and comparing once again, VC and IL, one can note that there is a great concordance as well⁶⁹ in whatever refers to the witness of and service of the Gospel of hope. Two aspects can be highlighted in the face of this twofold mission: 1) communion in hope and 2) life of hope and prophetic boldness.
