4. Within the limits of a Union whose only functions are promotion, study, collaboration and dialog

    If one is to evaluate fairly the USG’s service to the consecrated life over the almost 50 years it has been in existence, it is important to remember that it is a union purely for promotion, study, collaboration and dialog; it has no form of legal authority or decision-making power. That has never been its objective and one cannot realistically envisage it as such.
