B. A prophetical spirituality aware of the challenges of the Spirit in the signs of the times.
Missionary spirituality continues to recognize the need of being faithful to the Spirit who speaks not only within human beings, but also in the signs of the times.
Missionary spirituality emphasizes that being docile to the Spirit means taking decisions and not shying away from getting involved which is always imperfect and limited; not looking for absolute certainty; getting used to the unpredictable manner of the Spirit by an attitude of deep faith, committed hope and love disposed to serve.
The Spirit also communicates evangelic liberty or parresia to proclaim the demands of the Kingdom and to denounce everything opposing it. This is brought about by a commitment to justice and peace which takes on those traits of conflict and martyrdom of Christian witness seen in the light of the Paschal mystery.
