2.5 In communion.
The Church, even the local church, is one and whole even though there are different states and different charisma. All come together and complement one another. Making the most of the particular and specific identity of each one means more intensive cooperation, especially in responding to the major challenges which face the church.
Today, one of those challenges is the formation of a diocesan clergy and of the local members of diocesan or international Institutes and of the laity. It is especially through a solid formation that the future will be ensured. Many Institutes have just such a formation written into the DNA of their charisma and they will have to reactivate it and transmit it to the local church.
Another contribution made by the Institutes of consecrated life is the establishment of centers of spirituality (cf. VC 39, 93). Indeed every community of consecrated life should radiate spirituality (cf. VC 55, 57), mission spirit (cf. VC 42, 47) and communion (cf. VC 5, 41-42) through its witness and its works (cf. VC 76).
