3. The Influence of the Mass Media

Another phenomenon that continues to grow, even at times out of hand, and without the possibility of controlling it, is the influence which the Mass-Media of Nations or Regions exercise on the persons who regularly use these. They have a tendency to form a global culture that is not necessarily based on a real search for truth, but rather for sensationalism, or for creating a life-style only as a given point of view: political, cultural, economic, even religious, that has at times been pre-set and manipulated towards external centers of power achieving these precise objectives, even at the expense of truth, whether natural or revealed.
