3. Difficulties flowing from the geographical change of the focus for vocations and the fusion of old personnel coming from one nation or from one advanced culture, with new Recruits coming from the young Churches newly or recently founded.

Still another problem that has arisen especially in missionary Institutes, (but also in certain others which have more recently taken on the finality of mission "ad gentes") which have accepted recruits from the mission territories among their members, is the constitution of local communities made up of persons from different continents, races, cultures, previous formation and age, for undertaking missionary activity together. Since they come from different backgrounds, by way of language, customs, relationships with families, ways of doing things, etc. a continuing need for adaptability, an equitable tolerance of each other and the capacity for personal sacrifice, are constantly needed. Since such situations can be a source of much tension , a proper preparation for these conditions of community and apostolic life is absolutely essential. Many of the Missionary Institutes which have gone through this situation can always give those who have not, good advice, as to how to make such communities efficient for the pastoral activity they bring to the local Churches and for being visible witnesses (martyrs) to the divine call of all human beings to form part of the one body of Christ.
