33.      Utilisation and allocation of the assets of an Institute involve many aspects that need to be clarified. Some assets are destined to meet the needs of the religious themselves and others for the apostolic works. How can we fix the limit for realising the assets needed to achieve the Institute’s objectives and what should we do with the remainder? The subject of capitalisation is one of the most sensitive for a Religious Institute. How much money does one need to keep? How can we analyse our resources, identify the needs we must satisfy? What should we do with any surplus? Can we encourage [our members] to share even the necessities?
