 2  1   |                The Popes clarify the rule.~
 3  1,2 |           emulators of the said holy rule were truly striving, as
 4  1,2 |          entirely the aforementioned rule: attending to certain things
 5  1,2 |              in the text of the very rule, for the sake of having
 6  1,2 |            at whose feet even by the rule itself they are subject,
 7  1,2 |             things pertaining to the rule and to the condition of
 8  2   |        towards the professors of the rule~
