For a culture of life and of peace

 

44.* To empower the culture of life and of peace in the educating communities

 

The provinces propose to give first place to educational accompaniment in order to help young people to mature in life choices on the professional and/or political level, coherent with evangelical citizenship and to care for the formation of leaders in the Church and in society.

Many provinces are aware of the need to be open to the needs of families and hope for the promotion and establishing of associations with the aim of parental formation.

 

As the Salesian Family

 

45.* To revive  the associations in the Salesian Family .

 

Seek new openings for the lay associations (Past Pupils, Cooperators, Volunteer associations and those for leisure time), inviting them to be a bridge between the educational environments and the world of work for an efficacious insertion of the young person and to plan activities with particular attention for those in difficult situations.

 

In gratitude for services offered

 

46.* To guarantee salaries, hours, health and social insurance and the

legal protection for lay collaborators where this is not done by the State. ,

 

We are asked to study the possibility of an adequate recognition (also the economic point of view) for the laity who, sharing our educational mission, take on roles or offer relative service  to specific competencies.

 

 

 

Qualifying educational presences

 

47.*  To review the organization of the works and to assure coherence of educational experiences to improve the quality of the response in regard to  with the weaker social categories.

It is proposed that we re-launch the educational environments as places of integral education, workshops of multicultural strategies suited to favoring a greater exchange among schools, social work, professional formation centers, oratory-youth centers, inserted communities and associations for the sharing of local and province experiences and resources. It is further suggested that we initiate new presences in the recently formed neighborhoods of large cities, commercial centers, game rooms and the streets.
