Being present in the territory

         55*  To consolidate the network of interchange of resources within the province,

            Institute and Salesian Family and the civil and ecclesial  organizations    

            present in the territory.

 We feel the need to collaborate in creating a ministry that is capable of starting an innovative experience on the educational level.   It is important, in this regard, to promote a network of competencies and to identify reference personnel to support actions that respond to situations of emergency.  In this way we hope to make the community a place of real solidarity and a center of commitment for volunteers.

Where youth policies are decided

56.* To empower  a purposeful presence in those institutions where politics in favor of young people, women and the poorest are decided.

We are asked to live solidarity without being substitutes for the competence of public power, to denounce injustices, the violent consequences of globalization and to defend and promote human rights, also by participating in demonstrations, and intervening to create public opinion through the means of Social Communication.  We emphasize the urgency of assuming an ethic of responsibility and of legality, without descending into compromise with any type of corruption.

57.  * To understand the causes of persecution and/or marginalization and of exclusion with regard to persons and minorities.

We hold it to be significant that we keep alive the memory of the martyrs and support those who suffer threats and danger to life for a noble cause.
