  We thereupon held a public consitory, in which, with a great multitude of bystanders, We publicly proclaimed a triduum of prayers and fasting, so that God Omnipotent might deign to manifest to us what would be the best course of action in this matter, nor suffer, that His Church Militant to err, who strove to conform Herself to that Triumphant.
