FOCUSING ATTENTION ON GENUINE VALUES

85 The adolescent makes an effort to direct the vision of his life and the course of his existence according to certain principal and primary values. Today, however, the adolescent feels himself immersed in "values" that are opposed to one another. This tact sharpens the conflict within the adolescent among the various values which he is in search of, and he persuades himself to reject those values which he does not find expressed in the way adults live.

Catechesis must help him more and more to discover genuine values and to put them in order.
