Analysis of the Situation

PURPOSE

99 it is necessary that there be within a Conference a clean knowledge of the situation ìn which the ministry of the word is exercised.

The analysis aims at bringing out to what extent the Church’s evangelical activity is attaining the goals that have been set for if. Careful study must be made of the way in which the ministry of the word is being practised and of the results—to the extent that these can be ascertained by human knowledge—which have been obtained by catechesis or by other ways of presenting the Christian message. To be subjected to examination are the undertakings of the Church and how they have been received, where and by what persons, with what results, and so on.
