Perspective of the topic
Re-thinking identity and its relationships with vocation in a globalized world requires looking at human sciences whose contribution can shed light on the workings of the person and society in which she is called to live her vocation, but above all for an understanding of the present culture and the different cultures where the charism is embodied. Basically, consecrated life is seen as a life identity, as a “proposal for a journey that each person must follow, even though according to different modes, to reach a fulfilled identity and a fullness of meaning of one’s life.” 5 My reflection on the topic, while it is set in a perspective of a psychological and anthropological-existential nature, deliberately assumes a pedagogic-formation aspect, in an attempt to offer elements that permit identifying formation routes which the person and communities must adopt in order to harmonize identity and culture, in the joyful task of carrying out one’s vocation.
