 9 9 |      proceeding from the mutual love of the Father and the Son,
10 9 |         nature we spontaneously love, desire, and seek after
11 9 |       He, the first and supreme Love, moves souls and leads them
12 9 |      ultimately consists in the love of God. Wherefore the apostle
13 9 |        Holy Ghost proceedeth as love, He proceedeth in the character
14 9 |       of sanctity, Himself both Love and Gift, after having manifested
15 10|       the highest homage of our love and devotion. Christians
16 10|    daily strive to know Him, to love Him, and to implore Him
17 10|  mentioned in the second place, love, because He is God: "Thou
18 10|  because He is God: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy
19 10|    substantial, eternal, primal Love, and nothing is more lovable
20 10|    nothing is more lovable than love. And this all the more because
21 10| gratitude of the receiver. This love has a twofold and most conspicuous
22 10|      the Holy Ghost, Who is the Love of God, that He searcheth
23 10|        we must strive that this love should be of such a nature
24 11|         inspired with faith and love, we may press onward earnestly
