 1 1|    beloved sons may preserve the Catholic teaching unadulterated and
 2 2|       the teaching office of the Catholic Church. In particular We
 3 4|         on the foundation of the Catholic religion and openly follow
 4 4|      such so-called confessional Catholic associations must certainly
 5 4|         promoted in every way in Catholic regions as well as in all
 6 4| commandments and precepts of the Catholic Church. Venerable Brethren,
 7 5|        every one of the strictly Catholic workingmen's associations
 8 5|     however, We would rather see Catholic and non-Catholic associations
 9 6|          members than the purely Catholic associations and, on the
10 6|      particular circumstances of Catholic affairs in Germany, We believe
11 6|    provision should be made that Catholic workers who are members
12 6|        must also belong to those Catholic associations which are known
13 6|        happily demonstrated, the Catholic workingmen's associations,
14 6|   according to the principles of Catholic doctrine. ~
15 7|        watch diligently that the Catholic members do not suffer any
16 7|         their participation. The Catholic members themselves, however,
17 7|         faithful do not overlook Catholic moral teaching and do not
18 8|      oppose or attack the purely Catholic associations (this type
19 8|          on the grounds that all Catholic associations in every diocese
20 9|       expressing Our desire that Catholic Germany may make great progress
