 1 III |      III.  Do thou, therefore, O lover of this festival,
 2 III |        the Lord." [Exod 31:19] O wondrous circumstance! "
 3 III |        wondrous circumstance! "O the depth of the riches
 4 V   |   mystery connected with thee, O virgin mother, thou spiritual
 5 V   |      the generations of women, O thou of God most blessed,
 6 V   |       of none? For since thou, O holy virgin, hast dawned
 7 VI  |   occasion: ~"I long for Thee, O Lord God of my fathers,
 8 VI  |      Acts 18:28]. ~"Wherefore, O Lord my God, I will glorify
 9 VII |        this effect: ~"Receive, O reverend senior, thou of

15 VII |       Joyfully draw thy light, O thou of men most pious,
16 VII |     His clemency terrify thee, O thou of men most blessed.
17 VII |      shrink from His kindness, O thou of men most modest.
18 VII |         Be not then reluctant, O thou of men the most decorous.
19 VII | consume, but illuminates thee, O thou of men most just. ~"
20 VII |  subsistence, teach thee this, O thou who art in the law
21 VII |  distilling dew persuade thee, O master, of the dispensation
22 VIII|    unmixed with pain. Do thou, O Lord, receive me rejoicing,
23 VIII|    Thou hast made known to us, O Lord, Thy salvation causing
24 VIII|    Thou hast made known to us, O Lord, that Thou hast not
25 VIII|   servants; neither hast Thou, O beneficent One, forgotten
26 VIII|       it very weak); but Thou, O Lord, of Thine own self,
27 VIII|        are saved. ~"Therefore, O Lord, I seek of Thee to
28 IX  |      what shall I say to thee, O mother-virgin and virgin-mother?
29 IX  |       hymns will I greet thee, O daughter of David, and mother
30 IX  | another. ~"Receive, therefore, O lady most benignant, gifts
31 IX  |      are fitted to thee alone, O thou who art exalted above
