10. What is the meaning of the term synergy? Synergy, or synergia in Greek, is from syn (with) and ergon (work; whence synergic, synergetic, synergism, &c.), and it means cooperation. St. Clement of Alexandria coined the word in order to express the action of two energies joined together: grace and human will.
