Parable on Persistent Appeal.

(Luke 11:5-8).

Both Evangelist Matthew and Evangelist Luke in 11:1-4, expound the text of the Lord’s prayer, beginning with the words “Our Father” and further, see verse 5, the precise Lord’s teaching on the persistency in prayer. Through His inexplicable designs, God does not grant immediately that what is asked for, even though it may be in conformity with His will. In the narration about a friend, who was asking for bread and receiving it as a result of his insistence, the Lord wishes to instill the essentiality of resoluteness in prayer.
