1 1,1| means a series of prayers, recited or sung in a given order,
2 4,8| consists of the prayers to be recited at midnight, in memory of
3 4,9| to brief sets of prayers recited at the hours which begin

5 5,2| beseeches for mercy. It is recited in front of the closed Royal
6 5,6| Doxology the Prokímenon is recited. (The word means “foremost,” “
