The Yearly Cycle.

Every day of every month, every day of the year is consecrated to the memory of certain events or to that of different Saints. In honor of each given event or person, special hymns, prayers and rites have been established, which are added to the hymns and prayers for the day of the week, introducing more new features into the fixed routine of the daily servicesfeatures which change with every day of the year. This forms the yearly cycle of services.
