INTRODUCTION

The topic entrusted to me is, as usual, very broad. The title suggests three divisions to me:

-         consecrated life as “school of communion”,

-         the exchange of gifts among the various ecclesial experiences,

-         very special attention toward the laity.

The first two aspects seem to me to give an ecclesiological setting for the third, which should be the principal subject of the conversation.
