4. Toward a reciprocal formation
Finally, we have to rethink the formation of religious men and women in view of a reciprocal formation. A delicate and urgent topic to avoid the danger of considering only religious as formators, relegating the laity to the role of receivers, “destinees”. Already in early formation it is necessary to promote acquaintance between religious and lay persons, as well as plan times of study and experience together. Then it will be all one’s life—ongoing formation—with a relationship made up of prayer, sharing, planning and service—that will develop educational processes that will help us mature and enable the laity to assume responsibilities.
If we set up a journey for sharing the spirituality (charismatic studies, prayer together, retreats, etc…) also apostolic choices will find their way for implementation.
Communion of life is based on the consciousness of a common charismatic call.
