 1 CaptJer   |     and decent and pleasing to God. But in these days there
 2 CaptJer   |  Jerusalem, city of the Son of God. And they came on in wrath
 3 CaptJer   |   among us. And as we knew not God, nor observed His commands,
 4 CaptJer   |     nor observed His commands, God delivered us into the hands
 5 CaptJer   |      the chief was an enemy of God, he ordered that they should
 6 CaptJer   |    race, for the right hand of God protects this holy city.'
 7 CaptJer   |       Jericho, when it pleased God to lay them low, were suddenly
 8 CaptJer   |    regard to the city, whether God would deliver it or not
 9 CaptJer   |       replied : ' For our sins God hath delivered us into your
10 CaptJer   |  contrary you declared that by God it would be saved ; and
11 CaptJer   |       it ; for as we were with God, so too was God with us.

20 CaptJer   |       of what sorrow fell upon God's children, and how their
21 CaptJer   |        Moses.' Then the man of God asked the Persians to leave
22 CaptJer   |     will not tempt the Lord my God, but rather accept with
23 CaptJer   |  affirm that there is no other god like unto your God? Behold,
24 CaptJer   |       other god like unto your God? Behold, now you know that
25 CaptJer   |       above your faith, and my god greater than your God.'
26 CaptJer   |       my god greater than your God.' And when he had said this,
27 CaptJer   |    recognise the power of your God and believe in you. If not,
28 CaptJer   |  rejoiced because he knew what God intended to do through him.
29 CaptJer   |       evil Magus, and enemy of God, are you able to tell me
30 CaptJer   |     much honour by the will of God to him, who was magnified
31 CaptJer   |    magnify him, as the Word of God says : 'I magnify them that
32 CaptJer   |        impious and despised of God. She petitioned the King
33 CaptJer   |     all bestowed on the man of God, and delated him to the
