Season

 1 Spring|      an ox, on but a sheaf of straw, ~And finally would sell
 2 Spring|      lean and hayless tuft of straw ~The ox, at your command,
 3 Spring|      lean, ~He has to live on straw, and not too much of that. ~
 4 Summer|         Just bent and twisted straw, and fit for naught but
 5 Summer|       our spring crops on the straw, ~And what is left, the
 6 Summer|      to offer will be hayless straw. ~"And you good women folk,
 7 Autumn| butchered shoat ~With flaming straw - the smoke for miles beclouds
 8 Autumn|     rags and laid on the hard straw,~How little any babe may
 9 Autumn|    but ugly piles of wood and straw. ~When you look up you see
10 Autumn|       en the mice beneath the straw dared not to budge, ~And
11 Winter|     pipe, crawls into the dry straw, ~And, Lord be merciful,
12 Winter|     they are shown a sheaf of straw;~And just as soon as they
