Season

 1 Spring|       in the gleeful voice of birds. ~The sparrows and their
 2 Spring|     beds, ~Then you among the birds reign like a lovely queen, ~
 3 Spring|    your soup is thin. ~As the birds sang and laughed, a hum
 4 Spring|   kills. ~"But e'en among the birds there are some crafty cheats, ~
 5 Spring|       year kill many wretched birds. ~But among us we have no
 6 Spring|   beaming smile. ~Behold, the birds up in the skies in streaming
 7 Spring|     same lot that befalls the birds, befalls mankind, ~And no
 8 Summer|    thrown. ~"And even our gay birds have suffered selfsame fate.~
 9 Summer|      That e'ven the flocks of birds up in the skies were shocked. ~
10 Summer|   want to cook hot soup? ~The birds have gobbled up our spring
11 Winter|       drowse. ~Ye animals and birds, it falls on you and us; ~
12 Winter|     the needed number of dark birds. ~Seeing a flabby crow perched
13 Winter| charms!~And ye, light-hearted birds singing sweet melodies!~
