Chapter

 1 4 |     thing; she shall never know man, but alone, without example,
 2 4 |        without intercourse with man, she, a virgin, shall bring
 3 7 |         by any intercourse with man. And the high priest, being
 4 7 |       the prophecy of Isaiah, a man should be sought out to
 5 7 |         form of a dove, was the man to whom the virgin ought
 6 8 |    house and family of David, a man of great age: and when all
 7 8 | appeared to all that he was the man to whom the virgin should
 8 9 |         to my vow, I never know man, how can I bring forth without
 9 9 |         without the addition of man's seed? To this the angel
10 9 |    without any intercourse with man, thou, a virgin, wilt conceive;
11 10|        to do. For, being a just man, he was not willing to expose
12 10|         her; nor, being a pious man, to injure her fair fame
13 10|        soul, is the work not of man, but of the Holy Spirit.
