 1 Text|         of brother of the Lord, Philip the apostle, going through
 2 Text|   hearing about the works which Philip did. And many men and women
 3 Text|        in the house of Stachys, Philip along with Bartholomew taught
 4 Text|        the things of Jesus.~And Philip's sister Mariamme, sitting
 5 Text|    Father.~And all these things Philip said to the multitudes that
 6 Text|      things having been said by Philip, Bartholomew and Mariamme
 7 Text|        Jesus, and were added to Philip and those about him. And
 8 Text|         heard about the Apostle Philip and his teaching, believed
 9 Text|         Mariamme, the sister of Philip the apostle, seeing her,
10 Text|        the Hebrew tongue before Philip and Bartholomew, and all
11 Text|        thus spoken, the Apostle Philip, along with Bartholomew
12 Text|     amen along with the Apostle Philip, behold, there came the
13 Text|        laid hold of the Apostle Philip, and Bartholomew and Mariamme,
14 Text|         hide to be brought, and Philip and Bartholomew and Mariamme
15 Text|     having tortured the Apostle Philip and the saints who were
16 Text|       were added to the Apostle Philip, and those with him, having
17 Text|        temple of the viper-both Philip the Apostle, and Bartholomew
18 Text|      proconsul ordered to bring Philip and those with him forth
19 Text|       public executioner: Strip Philip and Bartholomew and Mariamme,
20 Text|        therefore first stripped Philip, then Bartholomew, they
21 Text|       with them. And he ordered Philip to be hanged, and his ankles
22 Text|        out Bartholomew opposite Philip, having nailed his hands
23 Text|         seeing each other, both Philip and Bartholomew; for they
24 Text|     they all fled from her.~And Philip spoke with Bartholomew in
25 Text|     should burn them up?~And as Philip was thus speaking, behold,
26 Text|        fellow-citizen, to where Philip was; and there was there
27 Text| proconsul, and the priests. And Philip, seeing John, said to Bartholomew
28 Text|   living water is. And John saw Philip hanging head downwards both
29 Text|     paralyzed. And John said to Philip: Let us not at all render
30 Text|       render evil for evil. And Philip said to John: Behold now,
31 Text|      also therefore be patient. Philip says: Go away, and do not
32 Text|      Lord, having appeared unto Philip, said: O Philip, didst thou
33 Text|   appeared unto Philip, said: O Philip, didst thou not hear: Thou
34 Text|   inflicted such destruction? O Philip, whosoever putteth his hand
35 Text|         how hast thou become, O Philip, unmerciful, having cursed
36 Text|         thine enemies in wrath?~Philip says: Why art Thou angry
37 Text|         And the Saviour says to Philip: But since thou hast disobeyed
38 Text|      the river Jordan. But I, O Philip, will not endure thee, because
39 Text|     come up, having looked upon Philip hanging head downwards,
40 Text|         heavens in the sight of Philip, and Bartholomew and Mariamme.
41 Text|     upon their face, and adored Philip, and entreated him, ready
42 Text|        appearing of Christ.~And Philip, yet hanging, addressed
43 Text|    faithful ran up to take down Philip, and take off him the iron
44 Text|    hooks out of his ankles. But Philip said: Do not, my children,
45 Text|       soul that is in sins.~And Philip, having looked round upon
46 Text|        to everlasting.~And when Philip had finished this announcement,
47 Text|          And after loosing him, Philip says to him: Bartholomew,
48 Text|   offering may be complete.~And Philip, having said these things,
49 Text|         And having thus spoken, Philip gave up the ghost, while
50 Text|       down his body, and did as Philip had commanded them, and
51 Text|       voice out of the heavens: Philip the apostle has been crowned
52 Text|     where the blood of the holy Philip had dropped. And they did
