   Essay

 1        9|       hurt, are when the party envied is beheld in glory or triumph;
 2        9|      the spirits of the person envied, do come forth most into
 3        9| persons are most subject to be envied themselves; and what is
 4        9|     the Emperor; that mortally envied poets, and painters, and
 5        9|    they are advanced, are less envied. For their fortune seemeth,
 6        9|        therefore kings are not envied, but by kings. Nevertheless
 7        9|      unworthy persons are most envied, at their first coming in,
 8        9|       worth and merit are most envied, when their fortune continueth
 9        9|       of noble blood, are less envied in their rising. For it
10        9|  advanced by degrees, are less envied than those that are advanced
