3.          CONSECRATED LIFE “LIVING MEMORY” OF CHRIST IN THE DYNAMISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PENTECOST

3.1.    The action of the Holy Spirit before the coming of Christ

            The Holy Spirit, consubstantial with the Father and the Son, worked from the beginnings up to the “fullness of time” .(cf Gal 4:4)  He was active in the creation of the universe (cf Jn 1:2) and in a special way in the creation of the human being, made in the image of God and set over all earthly creatures as ruler of them. (cf Jn 1:26-27)

            The Spirit collaborated in the realization of the divine design of revelation and in the planned preparation of the incarnation of the Word. The Spirit was present in all the phases of salvation history. The prophets, for example, were inspired by the Holy Spirit: “moved by the Holy Spirit those men spoke for God”. (2 Pt 1:21)
