1 VI | of dead men's bones and works of iniquity.' Next, he commanded
2 VII | God, and to cleave to good works. By such wondrous deeds,
3 VII | the mighty and marvellous works full of glory and wonder,
4 VII | every man according to his works. After his glorious Ascension
5 VIII | we cast away all the old works of wickedness, and we make
6 VIII | no fictions; but by good works be urgent to lay hold on
7 VIII | every man according to his works. For, at the beginning,
8 VIII | rewarded according to his works; for he saith, `The present
9 IX | and punishments for men's works, and that absolutely nothing,
10 IX | that the rewards of good works are certain and sure. Further,
11 IX | signifieth the acquiring of good works. `And at midnight,' he saith, `
12 IX | Esay saith, `I know their works and their thoughts,' and
13 IX | every man according to his works."' And many other such things
14 XI | virtues; for faith without works is dead, as also are works
15 XI | works is dead, as also are works without faith. For, saith
16 XI | lust of the flesh.' Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
17 XI | we again lay hold on dead works, and, like a dog, return
18 XI | see,' he saith, `your good works, and glorify your Father

31 XXVII | belonging to many gods, are works of error and destruction.
