1 XIX | adversary, and with all prayer and supplication watching
2 XX | By drawing near him in prayer and supplication. He that
3 XX | reason the Fathers define Prayer as `the union of man with
4 XX | since all the importunity of prayer leadeth the mind thither,
5 XX | leadeth the mind thither, prayer is rightly called `the prelude'
6 XX | blessedness. But not all prayer is of this nature, but only
7 XX | this nature, but only such prayer as is worthy of the name,
8 XX | its teacher, who giveth prayer to him that prayeth; prayer
9 XX | prayer to him that prayeth; prayer which soareth above all
10 XX | the poor lend wings to thy prayer, and so bring it before
11 XX | then thou attain to such prayer, blessed shalt thou be;
12 XXI | finally made an end with prayer. And therewith he prayed
13 XXI | pure, and so ending with prayer again withdrew to his hospice. ~
14 XXI | altogether overlook his prayer, nor plunge him in utter
