1 XXII | Barlaam, I know of an eremite, Nachor by name, in every way like
2 XXII | caught; but we shall exhibit Nachor, who, calling himself Barlaam,

14 XXVIII| dark speeches hinted that Nachor should relax his resistance,
15 XXVIII| argument of the orators. But Nachor the more mightily prevailed,
16 XXVIII| to himself, and delivered Nachor to his son, still having
17 XXVIII| games, and with him went Nachor. When alone, the prince
18 XXVIII| not saintly Barlaam, but Nachor the astrologer; and I marvel
19 XXVIII| wisdom. Wherefore, rejoice, Nachor, and be exceeding glad.
20 XXVIII| iniquity. Understand then, Nachor, man of understanding as
21 XXVIII| heart by these words, spake Nachor, "Well said! Sir prince,
22 XXVIII| he began to try to raise Nachor's courage which was drooping
23 XXVIII| Let no doubt about this, Nachor, find place in thy mind.
24 XXVIII| repentance to that aged sinner Nachor, promising him that Christ
25 XXVIII| give it perfect health. Nachor at once said unto him, "
26 XXVIII| forth from the palace. ~So Nachor stepped forth with a contrite
27 XXVIII| a right warm heart knelt Nachor down before him, and washed
28 XXVIII| and of the Holy Ghost. And Nachor abode with him, always repentant
29 XXVIII| heard what had befallen Nachor, he despaired of the hopes
30 XXIX | eloquent discourse that Nachor had held against them. And
31 XXXII | that same holy man, to whom Nachor also had resorted, and told
