 1        I, I    |       formerly called Albion, lies to the north-west, facing,
 2        I, I    |       875 miles. To the south lies Belgic Gaul. To its nearest
 3        I, I    |     and bars. And, because it lies almost under the North Pole,
 4        I, I    |   island next to Britain, and lies to the west of it; but as
 5        I, I    |      Spain, though a wide sea lies between them. The Picts
 6        I, I    |    for the snow scarcely ever lies there above three days:
