Canon 1317

1. The appellant can renounce the appeal with the effects mentioned in can. 1206. 2. If the appeal was proposed by the

defender of the bond or the promoter of justice, it can be renounced by the defender of the bond or the promoter of justice of

the appellate tribunal unless the law provides otherwise.
