Canon 1509

A custom, whether it is contrary to or apart (praeter legem) from

the law, is revoked by a contrary custom or law; however, unless

it makes express mention of centenary or immemorial customs, a

law does not revoke them; as for the other customs, can. 1502, 2

is applicable.
