Canon 90

For a serious reason, after having consulted with the eparchial

bishop and with the consent of the permanent synod, in the act of

establishment itself, the patriarch can exempt from the power of

the eparchial bishop and subject immediately to himself a place

or juridic person which does not belong to a religious institute

in matters regarding the administration of temporal goods and also persons attached to the same place or juridic person in all

matters regarding their function or office.
