Canon 114

1. Distinct from the curia of the eparchy of the patriarch, the

patriarch must have at his see a patriarchal curia which is comprised of the permanent synod, the bishops of the patriarchal

curia, the ordinary tribunal of the patriarchal Church, the patriarchal finance officer, the patriarchal chancellor, the liturgical commission as well as other commissions which by law are

attached to the patriarchal curia. 2. Persons belonging to the

patriarchal curia can be selected by the patriarch from the clergy of the entire Church over which he presides, having consulted

their eparchial bishop or, if it is a case of a member of a religious institute or society of the common life in the manner of

religious, their major superior. 3. The offices of either

curia of the patriarch, inasmuch as it is possible, are not to be

conferred upon the same persons.
