Canon 244

1. The appointment and removal from office of those who exercise an office in the eparchial curia belongs to the eparchial

bishop. 2. All who are admitted to an office in the eparchial

curia must: (1) make a promise to carry out the office faithfully in the manner determined by the law or by the eparchial

bishop; (2) observe secrecy within the limits and according to

the manner determined by the law or by the eparchial bishop.
