Canon 261

1. The eparchial bishop is to see that the acts and documents

of the archive of cathedral, parochial and other churches existing within the territorial boundaries of the eparchy are diligently preserved and two copies of the inventory of the acts and

documents are to be made, one of which is to be preserved in the

church's own archive and the other to be preserved in the archive

of the eparchial curia. 2. In order to inspect or remove the

acts and documents of these archives, the norms established by

the eparchial bishop are to be observed.
