Canon 293

The pastor is to remember to manifest in his daily contacts and

solicitude to the baptized and non-baptized, Catholic and non-Catholic, a truly priestly and pastoral example of ministry and

to give the proper witness of truth and life to all; and, as a

good shepherd, to seek out those baptized in the Catholic Church

who have absented themselves from the reception of the sacraments

or even fallen away from the faith.
