Canon 419

1. The president of a monastic confederation, the superior of a

non-confederated monastery sui iuris, the superior general of the

order or congregation, are obliged to forward a report on the

state of the institutes which they head to the authority to which

they are immediately subject at least every five years, according

to the form prescribed by the same authority. 2. Superiors of

institutes of eparchial or patriarchal right shall send a copy of

their report to the Apostolic See.
