Canon 464

For the validity of perpetual monastic profession it is required:

(1) that the novitiate has been validly completed; (2) that the

novice be admitted to profession by the superior of the proper

monastery sui iuris with the consent of the council, and that the

profession be received by the same superior in person or by another; (3) that the profession be expressed and made without

force, grave fear or fraud; (4) that other requirements in the

typicon for the validity of the profession be fulfilled.
