Canon 576

1. Every association is to have its own statutes, in which are

defined its name, purpose, headquarters, government and the conditions required for membership. Besides these things, the statutes are to determine its policies in accordance with the rite

of their own Church sui iuris and the needs or usefulness of the

place and time. 2. The statutes and their modification require

the approval of the ecclesiastical authority which erected or

approved the association.
