Canon 607

The ministry of the word of God, namely preaching, catechesis and

all forms of Christian instruction, among which the liturgical

homily should hold pride of place, is to be vitally nourished by

the Sacred Scripture and is to be based on sacred tradition; the

celebration of the word of God is to be constantly fostered.
