Canon 617

Each Church sui iuris and particularly their bishops have the

serious duty of providing catechesis, by which faith matures and

the disciple of Christ is formed through a deeper and more systematic knowledge of the teaching of Christ and through an increasingly stronger commitment to the person of Christ.
