Canon 774

1. After the sacred ordination has been celebrated, the names

of those ordained and the ordaining bishop, the place and date of

the sacred ordination are to be recorded in a special book to be

kept in the archive of the eparchial curia. 2. The ordaining

bishop should give an authentic certificate of the ordination

which was received to each of the ordained, who, if they were ordained by a bishop with dimissorial letters, should show the certificate to their own eparchial bishop or major superior so that

the registration of the sacred ordination is recorded in the special book to be kept in the archive.
