Canon 843

1. To convalidate a marriage which is invalid due to a diriment

impediment, it is required that the impediment cease or that it

be dispensed and that at least the party who is aware of the impediment renew consent. 2. This renewal of consent is required

for the validity of the convalidation even if both parties furnished consent at the beginning and have not revoked it later.
