1. If the impediment is a public one, the consent is to be renewed by both parties according to the form for the celebration of marriage required by law. 2. If the impediment is occult, it is sufficient that the consent be renewed privately and in secret by the party who is aware of the impediment, provided the other party perseveres in the consent already given, or by both parties when each of them knows about the impediment.
